  1. Download or clone the extension source from the repository.
  2. Open Chrome and navigate to chrome://extensions.
  3. Enable Developer mode (top-right toggle).
  4. Click Load unpacked and select the extension/ folder.
  5. The SnapWand icon appears in your toolbar. Pin it for easy access.

Install

Add to Chrome from the Web Store. No account setup needed — it uses your existing SnapWand login.

Browse

Visit any listing page on a supported marketplace. The extension activates automatically on matching pages.

Click

Hit the green SnapWand button next to the listing title. The analyzer opens, pre-filled, in your SnapWand tab.

Your data stays yours

  • We only read the listing you click on — never the rest of your browsing.
  • No data leaves your browser unless you click Send.
  • Your account credentials stay where they always are: in your browser cookie for snapwand.com.
  • The extension cannot access other tabs, your passwords, or your browsing history.

Questions

Is this safe?

Yes. The extension only activates on listing pages of supported marketplaces. It cannot read other tabs, your passwords, or any other browser activity.

Will it slow down the marketplaces I browse?

No measurable impact. Content scripts run once per listing page — they inject a single small button next to the listing title. Nothing runs in the background.

What data does it send?

Only the title, description, price, and listing URL of the page you explicitly click Send on. No browsing history, no other tabs, nothing else.

Can I uninstall it?

Any time, from chrome://extensions. Your SnapWand account and any credits you have remain untouched.

Do I need a SnapWand account?

Yes. The extension uses your existing snapwand.com login (cookie-based). If you are not logged in, the extension will redirect you to sign in first.
